How do I book a boat trip in Lyme Regis?

Do I have to book a boat trip?

No we welcome you to come and join us as a casual customer straight off the harbour wall but many people like to plan their trips these days, we would recommend you to call and book first if you know when you would like to go on a boat trip sightseeing, mackerel fishing or deep sea fishing in Lyme Regis. Private Charters are best booked at least 24 hours in advance but feel free to call Nick to discuss your plans.

When I have booked do I need to be on time?

Yes we will be booking other trips around yours so we rely on you to allow plenty of time to get to us. See our T&C’s.

How many people can I bring with me on a boat trip or fishing trip?

We can carry up to 12 passengers, there’s plenty of room, we may vary this according to weather conditions.

Do you arrange boat trips in Lyme Regis for schools and clubs?

Yes we can arrange boat trips, sightseeing trips along the coast, mackerel fishing or deep sea fishing trips for large groups, we have regular bookings from schools, residential homes, foster carers, colleges, scouts etc. We may ask you to ensure there is an appropriate level of supervision in circumstances where legislation or policy dictates.

Can anyone come on a boat trip, deep sea fishing trip or sightseeing trip?

Yes we are an inclusive business; we welcome all people regardless of their origin, religion or identity, age or ability. There are some practical barriers to access due to the design of the harbour please call us to discuss whether these will impact on you, we will do our very best to include you. We are aware some people require support or adjustments to the experience in order to be comfortable and enjoy their trip, talk to us and we’ll do our level best to address those needs.

Do I need to bring my own fishing line on the boat trip?

We provide rods, tackle and bait for Deep Sea Fishing, if you are very attached to your deep sea fishing kit please ask, we’ll accommodate where we can.

What time do deep sea fishing trips leave?

Throughout the holiday periods 9am to 12noon everyday. We also have availability everyday for private charters, these trips can be longer or shorter than our scheduled 3 hour trips.

Can I hire the boat with a skipper to take my family out on a special trip?

Yes, that’s our speciality, tailoring a fishing trip for you is what we like to do. And our rates are very reasonable and at times negotiable.

What else can we do on a boat trip?

We can arrange bespoke trips to sea to just take in the ambiance, view the coast, and we can accommodate people with sensory needs or challenges that require a managed.

Can I join a boat trip today?

Yes during holiday periods April – November and in July & August we will be available every day but call to book if you want to avoid disappointment.

Will I be safe on the boat trip?

We carry safety equipment as specified in the Maritime Coastguard Agency Code of Practice, this is not optional. The skipper will be qualified and experienced; you must follow the skippers instructions. We have an exemplary safety record and aim to keep it that way. In the unlikely event of a problem arising we have trained to keep you safe.

Where do I park when I come to Lyme Regis for a boat trip?

There are car parks near the Cobb Harbour which fill up very quickly in the high season, make sure you leave plenty of time to find a space. The postcode is DT7 3JJ. Pay using Just Park - location code 7621.
